VOLUNTEERING here at Gordon Head @ Lambrick Park Baseball Association

Gordon Head at Lambrick Park Baseball Association (GHLPBA) is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization and proud to provide the youth in our community with a great place to play ball.  GHLPBA does not function without volunteers, it requires all members to contribute in one way or another. If you have any questions about volunteering here at GHLPBA please contact our volunteer coordinator at volunteering@gordonheadbaseball.ca

GHLPBA VOLUNTEER POLICY

For the spring baseball season, there will be two types of volunteering required by all registered participants
Club Duties and Team Duties

Club Duties support the operations of the Club as a whole.

Team Duties support your child's specific team(s).

Each GHLPBA family (excluding families who only have a player registered in 5U Blastball) must pay a $200 volunteer fee at time of registration. This fee will be returned upon completion of four hours of Volunteer Club Duties.

To sign up for your CLUB Volunteer Duty, visit our sign up sheet:

Club Duties

Q: What types of Club Volunteer Duties are there?

A: There are many volunteer opportunities. You can find a comprehensive list and sign up here.

If you are interested in joining our board you can find vacancies here.  For head or assistant coaching please contact your division coordinator.

All volunteer positions will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you do not see something that suits your skill set, please let us know as we will be happy to work with you to find a volunteer opportunity.

If you have any questions about volunteering here at Gordon Head connect with us at volunteering@gordonheadbaseball.ca

Q: How much time do I need to volunteer?

A: 4 hours of volunteering is requested to be completed in the season. Some jobs are bigger than others, so feel free to sign up for as many spots as you are able. If there is an opening, that means we need volunteers. As all volunteer requirements will be tracked through our online sign-up page, please make sure you sign up prior to the event. If a volunteer opportunity is full and extra people show up, we will greatly accept the help, but credit will not be applied to your volunteer account.

Q: What is the Volunteer Commitment Deposit?

A: This deposit is paid at the time of registration. At the end of the season, the deposit will be returned to all families that have completed their four hours of Club Volunteer duties.

Team Duties

Team Duties support your child's specific team(s) and include home game field preparation and scorekeeping. Club Volunteer Duties do not release a family from completing Team Duties. All families will be assigned Team Duties throughout the season.

Q: Do I still have to score keep and prep the field for home games?

A: Yes! Each family is still responsible for their share of individual Team Duties, including home game field preparation and scorekeeping. Club Volunteer duties and Team Duties are separate.

With your help, we can continue to provide the youth in our community with an exceptional baseball experience.
